To me, vintage has a soul...
...and the shapes and quality feel timeless. I bought my first Chanel bag in a German vintage store - I loved it, restored it and wore it for 3 years before selling it on Vestiaire. The girl who bought it told me it was her first Chanel bag too, and it made me so happy to hear that my first love is now hers! I'm not really a fan of the new wave of seasonal It bags - the vintage models are much more gorgeous!
My best vintage find is...
...my black Hermès Kelly 32 from '70s - it's been my dream for the last 5 years to find one! I imagine that this bag was owned by a Parisian beauty, who strolled around the streets of Paris with this bag, drinking wine with her numerous lovers. I wear it with a faux fur coat, simple trousers and penny loafers.

…street styles from the '60 and '70s in Paris, London and New York. I’m currently on the hunt for a vintage Chanel Diana bag; for me the vintage feel of this bag makes it instantly gorgeous and more intellectual than a classic flap bag.
My pro tip for using Vestiaire...
...is to really define what you love and what you need before you shop! I always think about whether the item is timeless and can be worn many different times. Also, make sure you check the international sizes so you don't become a victim of Italian versus German sizing. Finally: Negotiate like there's no tomorrow!
