This season, my key party pieces are...
...a vintage shearling jacket, in hot pink, cropped to fit just above the belly button. Statement accessories like Loewe’s Balloon Beigeal heels, and Daniel Rosebery-era Schiaparelli earrings. A hot pink dress from Miscreant, with matching gloves. Finally, after all the partying in heels I'm after a pair of Nike SB Dunks to step into the new year with!
One thing I love about working in consignment is...
...getting to access some pretty amazing wardrobes (and beautifully decorated homes!) and finding gems. For me 'gems' means anything from Hermès to Chanel, that I encourage our clients to consign. To be honest: most of the time hardly any convincing is needed as the clients are usually ready to sell their pieces – often to make room for their next purchase. This is my third role at Vestiaire and by far my favorite!
My personal style inspiration comes from…
...my mum back in the '80s (of course), as well as '90s R'n'B girl groups and fictional characters, like Hilary Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Fran Drescher from The Nanny. Also I love people-watching, aka IRL streetstyle. The best style advice I've ever received was simple: “Fashion changes, but style endures”.
