Paco Rabanne's Fanny & Agathe Share Their Vestiaire Secrets

Parisienne marketing experts Fanny and Agathe work at Paco Rabanne, our latest partner in circular fashion. But that's not all, they're both fabulously chic - and Vestiaire lovers, of course. Hunting treasures is second nature to both Fanny and Agathe, but their top tips for using Vestiaire are all about creating alerts and always negotiating with the seller. Fanny sums it up: "Saying that I’m proud to belong to this community is an understatement!"

Fanny says: This partnership is a celebration...

...of our iconic 1969 bag. I'm so glad that Paco Rabanne and Vestiaire Collective have joined forces for a circular fashion project. It makes total sense to me, not only as a consumer of second-hand fashion, but also because it’s thrilling to have a sustainable fashion specialist paying tribute to Paco Rabanne's unique identity. For me, the 1969 is bold and versatile, for a woman who’s in tune with herself and doesn’t settle for less.

Agathe says: Everyone should have a 1969 bag in their wardrobe...

... because it's a versatile statement piece that can dress up simple outfits just as well during the day as at night. It's unique and suits everyone, which is a strength! Plus, who else makes a metal bag? It's an art piece, really!

Fanny says: The 1969 has over 50 years of history...

... and craftsmanship. We have the impression that it has lasted so many years because its timeless design slots so well into every period. 50 years ago it was avant-garde, and it's still timelessly modern today. Plus, there are so many shapes, finishes, sizes and different versions! For daytime, I wear mine with tailored suit pants, a chunky vintage sweater and with a shirt.

Agathe says: I'm inspired by '90s style...

...like Winona Ryder, Gwyneth Paltrow, or Jennifer Aniston for example. I often have more fun finding a piece than selling it! I tend to have a very clear idea of what I want, but I'm often surprised to discover all the options and variations there are around a simple search. I don't have a favorite piece that comes to mind but I found a vintage black leather jacket from Calvin Klein in my father's closet - I love it and it's perfect for the cold weather that's coming.
