Hailing from Lagos, Nigeria, Sadiq is a model and content creator. Spending his time between London and Berlin, he tells us more about his personal style, his favorite designers, the one item on rotation in his wardrobe, and his relationship with pre-loved fashion and Vestiaire Collective.
... would have to be Dries Van Noten. I own a pair of cargo pants from the Belgian designer, and they're on heavy rotation because of how versatile, warm and unique they are—they're the best-oversized pants one could wish for. They are just such a statement piece and command attention when you walk into a room while being oddly understated. I wear them with a chunky sweater or hoodie during the day, and at night, I’ll wear them with an Oxford shirt layered under a sweater for a preppy look.
... is an essential skill to have for someone who is constantly traveling like I am! My tips are to always pack versatile pieces and to pack accessories and not be afraid to accessorize! Accessories are a real travel hack as they are lighter to carry and can completely transform a look. I’m rather easy when it comes to everyday accessories. Sterling silver is my go-to and I generally thrift pieces from flea markets. I also love accessories from Alexander McQueen and Isabel Marant.

The top three are at the 2002 Grammy Awards, with his pink jumpsuit that had a life of its own, at the 2003 Billboard Music Awards, where he proved he is the master of prints, and, of course, in the music video for ‘Hey Ya’ where he proved once again he could wear and do as he pleases. He embodies my style mottos perfectly "If you don’t get a reaction out of yourself, don’t wear it" and "Dress like no one is watching."
... started only last year! A stylist friend introduced me to the app because she’s completely obsessed, and I always complained about how I always had designer pieces that deserved a new lease of life! I use Vestiaire when I need to revamp my wardrobe, and when I'm looking for people to receive the pieces I once cherished... My pro tip is to place alerts on items you are on the hunt for so you know when the price drops; I really like how the app automatically does that for you, by the way. After all, it's how I found a pair of Margiela boots and a Gucci Attache shoulder bag!
