Who are The OR?
The OR Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that works at the intersection of environmental justice, education and fashion development.
What do they do?
Their mission is to identify alternatives to the dominant model of fashion, bringing ecological prosperity and inspiring people to have more sustainable relationships with fashion.
Where do they work?
They work in solidarity with the Kantamanto community to in Accra, Ghana, one of the world's largest second-hand textiles markets.
Liz Ricketts, Co-Founder of The OR says:
"Fashion must divest from disposability. We can all do our part by recirculating quality garments, but we also have to prioritise justice for the people and the ecosystems who are often forgotten in fashion's chain of supply and demand. We are grateful to Vestiaire Collective for joining us in this mission."
