To mark the launch of our exclusive closet sale, we sat down with Paris to ask a few burning questions about her style evolution, the best way to take a selfie, and what's next for the philanthropist, entrepreneur, and pop culture icon.
Tell us about the iconic pieces you’re selling in this closet sale and why they’re so special... This collection is filled with personal treasures that hold so many memories! From sparkly dresses I wore to iconic parties to designer bags that traveled the world with me, each piece is so special. It’s always hard to part with items that mean so much, but knowing that the proceeds go to charity made it easier. Plus, I can’t wait to see others sliving in these iconic items!
How would you say your personal style has evolved over the last 20 years? Do you regret any of the looks in your style archive?
My style has always been about having fun—from rhinestone-studded Y2K glam to today’s polished and timeless vibes. I still love a standout moment, but now I balance it with elegance. Regrets? Not really! Every bold choice was part of my journey, even the extra ones.
From your iconic slogan tees and tracksuits to your sleek stilettos and sequin minis, we all want to dress a bit more Paris. What’s the best style advice you could give our Collective?
Wear what makes you feel confident, beautiful, and amazing. Don’t be afraid to mix high and low—style is about how you carry yourself in the items, not the price tag. Find your vibe and own it unapologetically. Sliving is a lifestyle!
How does it feel to see a new generation—many of whom were in kindergarten when The Simple Life first came out—discovering and recreating the looks you made famous 20+ years ago?
It’s surreal and so sweet! Seeing younger generations embrace Y2K fashion feels like a fun trip down memory lane (especially while we were filming our Simple Life Reunion on Peacock). I’m honored these looks are inspiring fresh creativity. Fashion is cyclical, but the energy they bring makes it all feel brand-new.
As any OC fans will know, you invented the selfie as we know it. What are your top tips for taking the best outfit pics? Because we know everyone who shops this sale is going to want to share their finds online... Lighting is everything! Face the light, find your best angles, and strike a confident pose. Most importantly, have fun! Everyone who shops this sale will look iconic—don’t forget to tag me so I can see and share your sliving looks!
With Y2K having a major resurgence, your 2000s style is back in the limelight. How does it feel having your 20-year-old self everywhere again, now you’re in a different (if equally stylish) stage of your life?
I’m loving it! My 20-year-old self was all about fearless, fun glam, and that vibe is timeless. Now, as a mom, I balance sparkle with grace and sophistication, but my essence hasn’t changed.
You just turned 44—so happy birthday! You have so much happening at this stage in your life, from your activism with 11:11 Media Impact to being a mom of two young children. How do you feel about this chapter in your life and the personal evolution you’ve been on (as well as the style one)?
Thank you! This chapter feels like the most fulfilling yet. Being a mom and using my platform to protect youth through 11:11 Media Impact brings me so much joy and purpose. I’m embracing every moment with gratitude. Style-wise, I still love making a statement, but comfort and connection are key now. I’m living my best life—and that’s hot!
New music. The Simple Life reboot. Passing a historical bill in Washington DC… What’s next for you? Can we expect to see more iconic reality TV, or is a career in politics calling?
Stay tuned! I have a new beauty line that will be launching in the spring and I’m really focused on projects that matter—whether it’s new music, impactful documentaries, or activism. My passion is amplifying my impact work and leaving a legacy of positive change. Sliving isn’t just about living your best life; it’s about helping others live theirs, too.
