VC: What’s your best-kept fashion secret? Nicola: First of all, I believe we should only keep items that give us joy, as Marie Kondo says. I keep a relatively small wardrobe, as surprised as you may be. All my friends know I’m an accessory queen - headbands, earrings, necklaces, rings, belts, scarves...you name it! It brings me so much joy when I discover new ways to style my looks with different accessories in my collection. Secondly, I always do a “comfort test” in the form of a funny dance before leaving the house, wriggling my body around to see how I feel in the clothes. You never know what could go wrong out there! One time, I had to walk uncomfortably all night because my wool skirt kept getting caught in my boots. There was another time I had an off-shoulder shirt on and I had to be extra careful, checking it didn’t fall down that I caught myself looking down on my chest every other minute. These experiences were definitely uncomfortable and I don’t ever want to deal with that again! VC: What’s the item you’ll never sell? Nicola: My 1960's gold Rolex watch. VC: Top 3 brands for you? Nicola: Christian Dior, Isabel Marant and Jacquemus.
