VC: Let our community know how this collaboration came about.
D&D: We started OnTheList because we realized there was a gap between the fashion industry and the consumers. We wanted to educate people to consume mindfully and also be smart shoppers. We felt that brands in Hong Kong didn’t have a place to sustainably get rid of their past season goods.
VC: Could you describe your style in 3 words? And what are your wardrobe essentials?
D&D: Timeless, comfortable and colorful.
VC: Which brands do you think are the ones to watch this year?
D&D: Peter Do, Totême and Pangaia.
VC: What are your views on preloved fashion and consumers mixing and matching with vintage items?
D&D: We’re all about timeless and vintage pieces so we love to see a blast from the past on people! There is something nostalgic about it.
VC: How do you think the fashion industry has changed in the past few years, especially in Hong Kong?
D&D: People value quality here even though there is fast fashion all around us, we believe that people are becoming more and more mindful shoppers.
VC: What are your views on the circular fashion movement and how do you think this will evolve in the future?
D&D: We’re definitely advocates of the circular fashion movement as OnTheList is all about producing less waste and shopping sustainably. We hope more brands will follow with this movement as it is better for the environment and it will encourage consumers to shop mindfully.
VC: What is your top tip for those who wish to be more sustainable in their daily lives?
D&D: Buy quality and timeless items that will last.
