Rone Automatic Swiss Incabloc Honeycomb Dial Vintage Watch 1950s

A charming Rone automatic from the 1950s featuring a beautiful champagne honeycomb-textured dial with rose gold applied Arabic numerals and arrow markers, a distinctive red centre seconds hand, and a Swiss automatic movement with Incabloc shock protection — housed in a chrome-plated round case on a brown crocodile-pattern leather strap.

Rone was a highly respected British watch brand founded in the early twentieth century that became one of the most popular watch names on the British high street. Rone watches were sold through jewellers across the United Kingdom and were prized for their reliable Swiss movements, attractive designs, and excellent value for money. The brand held a special place in British horological culture, and today Rone watches are increasingly sought after by collectors who appreciate their quality and nostalgic appeal.

The honeycomb-textured dial is a real highlight of this piece — the fine crosshatch pattern catches the light beautifully and adds visual depth that a plain dial simply cannot match. The rose gold Arabic numerals at the even hours and pointed arrow markers at the odd hours have developed a warm, aged tone that complements the champagne dial perfectly. The red centre seconds hand provides a sporty contrast to the otherwise dressy presentation.

The Incabloc shock protection system keeps the movement safe from everyday knocks and bumps.

Vintage Rone watches have a devoted following among British watch collectors and are becoming increasingly difficult to find in good condition. This automatic example with its stunning honeycomb dial is a particularly attractive piece that represents a wonderful slice of British watch retailing history.

Runs well and keeps good time, as expected for a vintage mechanical watch.
