Rare Vintage Swiss Leather Crossbody Bag – 1961/1962

Unique vintage crossbody bag made from two original Swiss leather utility pouches dating from 1961 and 1962, joined together and adapted into a wearable shoulder bag.

Made from thick natural leather with substantial metal hardware, leather lacing and two separate compartments. Original stamped markings and dates remain visible on the leather.

The bag has a beautifully authentic, heavily patinated appearance, with naturally uneven shades of brown, scratches, surface marks, creasing and signs of age throughout. Two metal rivets show greenish surface oxidation. The long leather shoulder strap is dry and cracked in places, particularly around the bends, and one side rivet may be missing.

The structure remains solid and the leather construction and central lacing are intact.

Condition: vintage / well-worn condition with significant authentic patina and visible signs of age. Please examine all photos carefully.

A very unusual raw leather / rustic / heritage vintage piece, suitable as an everyday crossbody or as a distinctive vintage accessory.
