Vintage men's smoking jacket and trousers set in a thick wool fabric, ideal for winter home wear, dating back to around the 1970s. Typical elegant loungewear popular at the time! The jacket features wide shawl lapels and patch pockets with contrasting piping. The jacket closes at the waist with a braided fabric drawstring that ends in decorative tassels. The trousers are wide and straight, with side piping that matches the details of the jacket. This smoking jacket style originated in the second half of the 19th century as a gentleman's garment, to be worn at home to protect formal clothes from odors such as tobacco smoke. Brown in color typical of men's fashion of the 1970s, in size 48, tailored and above all in excellent condition! Add this piece of history to your collection!

Completo composto da giacca da camera e pantaloni da uomo vintage in  un tessuto di lana  spesso , ideale per l’uso domestico invernale, risalente a circa gli anni 70. Tipico abbigliamento da casa elegante popolare in quel periodo! La giacca presenta ampi revers a scialle e tasche  applicate con bordino in contrasto . La giacca si chiude in vita con un cordone di tessuto intrecciato che termina con delle nappe decorative . I pantaloni sono ampi e dritti, con bordìno laterale che richiamano i dettagli della giacca . Questo modello  di giacca da camera nacque nella seconda metà dell’ 800 come indumento per gentiluomini , da indossare a casa per preservate gli abiti formali dagli odori come il fumo di tabacco.
