Up for sale is a beautiful pair of vintage, true 1980s Levi's 517-0217 Pre-Shrunk Rigid Denim Bootcut Jeans.
Based on the white care tag's production code (036) and factory stamp (532), this exact pair was manufactured in the USA in March 1986.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE VISUAL / SIZE ALTERATION DETAILS:
The original tag reads W40 L36. However, these were custom-hemmed directly after their original purchase to fit a shorter inseam. The waist has experienced natural vintage shrinkage. Please rely on the actual flat-laid measurements below for an accurate fit.

True Measured Dimensions (Laid Flat):
Waist: 19.25 inches (Fits nicely as a 38" to 38.5" waist)
Inseam: 30” (hemmed from original 36")
Outer Seam: 42”
Rise: 13.5”
Leg Opening: 9.5”

Excellent vintage condition with no major flaws, rips, or heavy staining. Because they were hemmed from a 36" inseam, the knee-to-ankle bootcut profile is slightly subtler than standard un-hemmed pairs, giving them a very clean, modern straight/boot silhouette.
