Raf Simons Redux Waves AW04 Wide Leg Jeans

Raf Simons Redux Waves Wide Leg Jeans from the Autumn/Winter 2004 collection are one of the iconic pieces from his early era, when he experimented with silhouettes and deconstructed traditional cuts. These black denim jeans feature a high 'V-cut' waistband with an asymmetric three metal button fastening that creates a visually elongated line. The wide, almost trouser-like legs widen dramatically from the hips down, emphasizing the concept of excess and freedom of movement typical of the "Waves" period. The back is complemented by square pockets and clean seams that stay true to Simons' minimalist signature.

This model is a collector's archive piece - a refined combination of utilitarian denim and avant-garde tailoring that still resonates amongst enthusiasts for Raf's original vision of menswear.
