Supreme: clothes for urban chaps
A real reference in men's streetwear, Supreme made its name as a "love brand" in the fashion world, thanks to its men's clothing blending hip-hop and punk rock influences with the universe of skateboarding. A symbol of modern cool, the US brand is known best for its hoodies and baggy T-shirts, available in a multitude of colours.
Launched in 1994 by James Jebbia, Supreme came into being in a miniscule boutique in New York, aimed primarily at skateboarders. It soon caught the attention of professional riders the world over, who proudly sported its pieces with the red and white logo, and the label has since collaborated with some major names. That is how Supreme put its foot on the haute couture ladder, when it collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a now-famous collection. The brand, an alliance of lifestyle and luxury, today offers T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, coats, trousers and sweaters for men, the style being casual and contemporary.
From plain trousers to sophisticated shirts, from single-colours to printed pieces, each creation by Supreme is made with the utmost care, in quality materials like cotton and wool that are comfortable to wear. A colour that is easy to coordinate, burgundy, for example, can be paired with any outfit. Never going out of fashion, as wearable in summer as in winter, it can be a constant of men's urban daywear.
