The footwear collaboration between Japanese motorcycle company Kawasaki and adidas Originals, which was initially unveiled last September, will officially be released. The two-piece pack is inspired by Kawasaki’s iconic Ninja sportbike. The ZX 7000’s main colourway is inspired by Kawasaki’s unique paint scheme, while the green and yellow accents are borrowed from the Ninja H2. The Kawasaki Ninja x adidas ZX 22 Silver Black shoe in the pack, which was modelled after the Kawasaki Ninja sportbike, uses a monotone glossy silver base.

The first model, which is called the ZX 4000 4D, takes a retro runner silhouette and updates it with features like a mesh upper with suede and nubuck overlays. The sneaker also has reflective laces and comes in two colourways. Its midsole uses adidas’ innovative 4D technology while it’s out. The collaborative capsule will include a light-coloured adidas ZX 8000 and a darker ZX 22 BOOST.

The upcoming adidas ZX 22 sneaker features perforated White kangaroo leather uppers with Kawasaki green leather overlays, blue accents, and stylized “Ninja” patch embroidery on the lateral side. Co-branded logos decorate tonal tongue tabs while silver metallic support pieces are fixed onto the heel counter.

The new ZX 22 BOOST comes in a sleek mesh with reflective TPU overlays and green accents, perfect for runners or everyday wear.

Kawasaki Ninja x adidas ZX 22 Silver Black will be available on November 24 at adidas’ online and brick-and-mortar stores. Both pairs come with alternate laces, electroplated lace tips, license plate-style metallic lace dubraes, custom shoeboxes filled with printed tissue paper bearing Kawasaki motorcycle sketches, and a print graphic of the latest Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R.
