Napapijri, the peak of outdoor clothing.
With a name meaning "polar circle" in Finnish, Napapijri is an open invitation to travel, brining to mind the greatest explorers of the XXth century. Founded at the end of the 80's, this Italian label creates outdoor clothing and accessories of the highest quality.
From travel bags to outdoor clothing.
The brand came into being in 1987 in the shadow of Mont Blanc, where an Italian maker of travel bags tried his hand at using innovating materials to make outdoor equipment. Three years later, the label made its foray into clothing and fashion accessories, combining style and technical performance. In 1997, it was logical that the Alps, and more specifically Chamonix, welcomed the first Napapijri boutique to open. Next stops for the brand were Paris and Japan, where openings coincided with the launch of the childrenswear range with the Napapijri Kids collection. In 2004, Napapijri was taken over by the American company VF Corporation, who decided to keep the casual but stylish spirit of the brand with the Norwegian flag. Worn in posh ski resorts, in France the clothes and accessories have always been met with a high level of enthusiasm.
In parallel to its outdoor clothing, which includes women's, men's and children's ski trousers and all-in-ones, in 2007, Napapijri launched its first collection of footwear. Keeping the values dear to the brand's heart, insisting on technical performance without neglecting aesthetics, walking shoes, fur-lined boots and Napapijri sandals are designed to last. The brand also proposes leather bags and backpacks with designs through which the same sporty DNA clearly runs.
From mountaintop to city centre.
For over 30 years, one theme has driven Napapijri: to travel is to grow, to grow is to learn. Now present throughout the world, today the Italian brand counts almost 2,500 stores and points of sale. It has also taken part in a collaboration with couturier Karl Lagerfeld for a limited re-edition of its Skidoo jacket. A symbol of the label, existing in summer and winter versions, this comfortable coat comes in a choice of different colours, from the subtlest tones to the brightest hues. Alongside the collection designed to protect against freezing temperatures, Napapijri proposes everyday ready-to-wear with urban overtones, and sportswear. Shirts, polo shirts, trousers, padded winter jackets... all are highly appreciated for their quality and robustness.
From Skidoo jackets to Bering bags, chunky knit hats and fur-lined boots, Napapijri casts it casual style over its cold-weather clothing and the more lightweight versions. Amongst the most iconic pieces, we can mention:
