White

Splendid and refined original vintage hat (approximately 1950s-1960s) in white, a high millinery bonnet style to be worn on the back of the head, typical of the bon-ton fashion of the mid-twentieth century; perfect for vintage collectors, retro brides, for themed events, ceremonies, or to give a unique and classy touch to a formal and elegant outfit.
Its clean arched line that frames the face, leaving the forehead uncovered, is typical of the Half-Hat or Calot style of the '50s and '60s. The cap is a masterpiece of period craftsmanship, made on a tulle/honeycomb mesh base richly decorated with a dense three-dimensional floral pattern composed of satin ribbon petals, enriched in the center by small spherical pearls that create a very sophisticated effect. On the back, it features a spectacular finish with a large bow from which elegant and soft matching hanging tubular ribbons in chenille/velvet descend, a typical and refined element of mid-century design that beautifully enhances updos or short hair.
It has no obvious defects, only a few small isolated beige/orange specks on two rear chenille ribbons, one on the upper edge, and slight halos/small yellowing spots on the inner lining, due to age and storage. Millimetric imperfections visible only on very close inspection; overall the headpiece still presents beautifully.

Beanie
