Hermès vintage Selle d’officier scarf in grande tenue.Designed by Wlodek Kaminski.Start of production 2012. 100% silk, made in France Size 90x90cm New without tags.History: This scarf by Wlodek Kaminski, in the style of a portrait, reveals the beauty of a horse’s saddle. Designed for army generals, this selle d'officier en grande tenue (full dress officer's saddle), was adopted by the French army in 1884 and abandoned at the start of the First World War in 1914. It was manufactured by the Parisian house of Bidal et Piat, an establishment reputed for its military equipment. Crafted in fine Morocco leather and velvet, it is adorned with a simple and graphic leaf design, a “tiger skin” pommel (in reality made from panther skin), frogging and finely chiselled brass.

Carré Hermès vintage Selle d’officier en grande tenue. Dessiné par Wlodek Kaminski. Début de production 2012. 100% soie, fabriqué en France Taille 90x90cm Neuf sans étiquette. Histoire : Ce carré de Wlodek Kaminski, façon portrait, révèle la beauté d’une selle de cheval. Destinée aux généraux d’armée, cette selle d’officier en grande tenue, adoptée par l’armée française en 1884, fut abandonnée au début de la Première Guerre mondiale en 1914. Elle fut fabriquée par la maison parisienne Bidal et Piat, maison réputée pour ses équipements militaires. Confectionnée en maroquin fin et velours, elle est ornée d’un motif de feuille simple et graphique, d’un pommeau en « peau de tigre » (en réalité en peau de panthère), de brandebourgs et de laiton finement ciselé.
