The IDYLLE line is a re-edition of an iconic bag from the 1960s, part of the brand's heritage. It pays homage to the history of the Maison by reintroducing a jewelry symbol that has deep meaning for our founders. In the 1870s, Angèle LANCEL's husband, Alphonse, gave her a jewelry padlock to symbolize their love. Angèle then incorporated this symbol into her bag designs, reinterpreting it over the years. Today, IDYLLE celebrates this original love story by using this universal symbol that became famous on the Pont des Arts in Paris, where lovers come to attach padlocks to symbolize their mutual commitment.
