Beige

Vintage structured python snakeskin handbag from the 1950s, made from natural snakeskin in beige, brown and black tones.

The bag has a compact structured shape with a metal frame opening and a decorative tab closure at the top. The sides are constructed with folded gussets, allowing the bag to expand when opened and providing additional interior capacity without an accordion construction.

Made from genuine python skin, with the natural variation of the scales clearly visible throughout the front, back, sides and shoulder strap. The strap is also completely covered in matching snakeskin and is attached to the bag with gold-tone metal rings.

The interior is lined in beige fabric and includes an internal slip pocket.

Materials

Genuine python snakeskin
Fabric lining
Gold-tone metal hardware

Condition

Very good vintage condition.

The snakeskin is exceptionally well preserved for its age, with the scales remaining well defined and largely flat. The structure, strap and metal closure are all in very good condition.

Minor signs of age and use may be present, consistent with an original handbag from the 1950s.

Please refer carefully to the photographs, which show the exact condition of the bag.

Measurements

Approx. 22 cm wide
Approx. 21 cm high
Approx. 4 cm deep when closed

The folded side gussets allow the bag to expand when in use.

Please refer to the measurement photographs for scale and additional dimensions.
