The Saint Laurent brand, symbol of a leading designer of contemporary fashion.
Originally from Algeria, Yves Saint Laurent had a passion for dressmaking and started out in the sector when he was very young, arriving in Paris to begin his career with Christian Dior. He did amazingly well and decided to found his own brand in 1962 with the help of his friend and confidant Pierre Bergé. His personal style and original cuts were immediately adopted by one and all. He was always re-routing fashion and reinventing it in infinite different ways to create an avant-garde style. He bowed out of the limelight in 2002, but the brand and its identity went on, much to the delight of the fashion-loving public. It was in 2012, at the instigation of Hedi Slimane that the brand took the name of Saint Laurent. Slimane would contribute to making the House of Saint Laurent more accessible, but without losing the elegance of its DNA.
A bag with a rock’n’roll look.
The name of the Loulou bag by Saint Laurent reminds us of one of the designer's muses, Loulou de la Falaise. The design was created with a masculine-feminine side and rock'n'roll undertones. Its practical mini format means you can take only the bare essentials. It is a bag for the modern, independent woman. The leather is quilted to give the bag more volume and it has either a classic handle or a chain. As for the label's logo, it features on the front of each design. In terms of colours, there are numerous versions in classic tones like black and white but you can also get a red Loulou, for example, if you feel like asserting your individual style.
