This iconic skirt and jacket ensemble from Christian Dior's Fall/Winter 2003 collection, designed by John Galliano, is a masterful example of deconstructive tailoring and "hard-chic" aesthetics. Crafted from a gray wool fabric, the suit fuses the Maison's classic elegance with a bold, fetishistic, and military aesthetic. The jacket is the centerpiece of this deconstruction: it features notched lapels in black leather that contrast with the wool, leather-paneled sleeves, and an intricate play of gathers that dramatically accentuate the waist. Its most distinctive detail is the black leather straps with metal eyelets and silver hardware engraved with the Dior logo. These straps are an integral part of the jacket, running from the back, across the shoulders, to the front, where they hang like decorative garters over the skirt. Este icónico conjunto de falda y chaqueta de la colección Fall/Winter 2003 de Christian Dior, diseñada por John Galliano, es una muestra magistral de la sastrería deconstructiva y la estética "hard-chic". Confeccionado en un tejido de lana gris, el traje fusiona la elegancia clásica de la Maison con una audaz estética fetichista y militar. La chaqueta es la pieza central de esta deconstrucción: presenta solapas de muesca en cuero negro que contrastan con la lana, mangas con paneles de cuero y un intrincado juego de fruncidos que acentúan la cintura de forma dramática. Su detalle más distintivo son las tiras de cuero negro con ojales metálicos y herrajes plateados grabados con el logotipo de Dior, las cuales son parte integrante de la chaqueta y la recorren desde la parte posterior, cruzando por los hombros hasta el frente, donde cuelgan como ligueros decorativos sobre la falda.
