Junya Watanabe for Comme Des Garcons. AW 2004 Padded Brown Wool Jacquard Penguin Silhouette Poncho/Cape Jacket. Sz JP M -- One size fits all.Style code: JN - J014. This style is more lightly padded than the most padded jackets from this season (for example, the pink penguin padded jacket that I also have listed for sale.) Size notes: Due to design, one size fits all. I typically wear XS/SS or S in Junya Watanabe. However, this size M fits fine, and I am wearing it without the layers I expect to be worn under this cape jacket.  There is a small hole that has been mended in on the back of the left sleeve. Although you have to look carefully to see it, I have taken it into account in pricing this article. I have also included a photo.  The fabric is a nuanced wool herringbone weave that is quite beautiful.The shoulders are dropped/dolman shaped and the sleeves are attached to the body of the garment. This design feature is something that Junya Watanabe eventually takes to a more radical direction through the addition of trompe l'oeil or non-functioning sleeves attached to the body of his outerwear. You see it for the first time in this season and can follow his thinking about silhouette by examining how he designs sleeves through the seasons.
