Designers Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen described their Fall 2013 runway collection to André Leon Talley for VOGUE magazine as a desire "to fuse Victorian style with Japanese and add a sense of layering –like athletic clothes, but with elegant sportswear."


This evening jacket is one of the standout pieces from their collection that epitomizes that design vision. This jacket combines a shawl collar smoking jacket / evening blazer with a men's Japanese Jinbei or Samue wrap jacket.


The exterior is made from a floral pattern woven wool in navy and black. The jacket can be styled two ways: with the wrap overlay worn inside the jacket, or with the wrap pulled across the front. There is a button on the inside and the outside to accomodate either styling, and there's a small hole on the side for the silk tie to pull through.


Shoulder to shoulder ~17.5 inches. Armpit to armpit ~19.25 inches. Sleeves ~21.5 inches. Length ~26.5 (back, center)


Very good condition. Light pulls / snags to the fabric.
