Genuine 1970s vintage pleated wool mini skirt from French brand Cacharel in the iconic Liberty 'Bauhaus' fabric. A very rare find that will interest collectors of vintage clothing.

The Bauhaus fabric was designed by Collier Campbell (sisters Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell) for Liberty of London in 1972. This print was based on Gunta Stolzl's 1928 tapestry, a weaver from the Bauhaus school. Cacharel was founded in the late 1950s by Jean Bousquet, the brand started using Liberty fabrics in its designs from 1968.

Made in France. The skirt is fully lined and closes with a nylon zipper.

In very good condition, sold as vintage. There are about six small holes, which I have detailed in the photos. These are only visible on close inspection and are easily repairable, but the price of the skirt is accordingly.

Marked as a French 38, but runs smaller, more like a modern size XS. See measurements below.

Measurements (in inches, laid flat):
Waist: 12"
Length: 19.5"
Hips: 15.5-16"

Wool mini skirt
