VINTAGE DEMI-COUTURE LESAGE PARIS LAYERED SILK SKIRT FEATURING STUNNING EMBROIDERY. Founded in 1924, Maison Lesage is still the first port of call for all couture houses. Small embroidery is a signature element of Rena Lang's pieces, and this one is particularly special because it is handcrafted to Demi-Couture standards. It is crafted with two layers of dark buttery yellow chiffon. The silk is as light as air, and the color is stunning. The third layer is a chartreuse green tulle adorned with entirely hand-embroidered Lesage embroidery. It is adorned with sequins and tiny amber crystals. A decorative metallic brocade finish in antique gold extends throughout and adds depth. It creates a stunning 3D effect and looks beautiful when it catches the light. The craftsmanship is incredible. The composition exudes a sublime Art Deco or Art Nouveau feel, especially thanks to the embroidery on the scalloped hem. The skirt is fitted and has a lovely flare at the bottom, a nod to the style of the Roaring Twenties. The silhouette stops just below the knees, depending on your height. When worn, it creates pleats and looks beautiful with every movement. The chiffon flares out and the tulle widens to the hem. This third outer layer has intricate triangular stitching work on the front and back. As you walk, you see a lovely sway of the fabric thanks to the weight of the embroidery. It is a sublime design. The waistline is decorated with a metallic thread embroidered border. Hand-finished. Zipper closure on the inside back.

Excellent condition. I see a small thread pull and slight fraying at the waistband here and there. Slight tension in the mesh at the back. Please see the last photo. This can easily be corrected by a seamstress.

The fabric label and size tag are missing. This is likely silk. The size indicated corresponds to a variety of sizes, from S to M.
