 From the Spring/Summer 2000 season, here is a gorgeous purple linen sleeveless zip top/vest from HERMES by MARTIN MARGIELA. 
 Unzipped, the piece can be worn as a cardigan of course, zipped up, as a top or on the catwalk. Very mysterious construction with this trompe l'oeil reverse which disappears on the back. 
Zipped, the lapel cut almost disappears. Note that the zipper does not close the entire vest - it is almost as if it created the V-neck - and how clever: the bottom part without zipper can then be tucked into the pants or skirt . 
This top is all about fit, science and balance, but it looks so easy. Pure Margiela. 
The item has been worn and is in good condition, no holes or stains, no pressing. 
The size label says 40 FR but here are the MEASUREMENTS: shoulder to shoulder: 41 cm – armpit to armpit: 49 cm – length: 71 cm – arm opening: 18 cm – bottom width: 54 cm – V-neck length: 22 cm - bottom length without zipper: 16 cm - zipper length 34 cm - IMPORTANT: THE HANGER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE.
