These are archival Chloé pinstripe trousers, specifically identifiable from the Phoebe Philo era (early to mid-2000s). During her tenure as creative director, Philo introduced several high-waisted, masculine-inspired silhouettes that became signature house codes.
The double-buckle adjustable waistband is a direct reference to vintage British military tailoring, which Philo frequently reinterpreted into ultra-feminine high-end fashion.
While Stella McCartney (1997–2001) used pinstripes in a more "rock-and-roll" flared or low-rise context, Philo (2001–2006) favored this more structured, wide-leg or tapered pleated silhouette with cuffed hems.
Most archival pinstripe pieces from this period were crafted in Italy from 100% Virgin Wool or wool-viscose blends, designed to drape fluidly while maintaining sharp pleat lines.
Archival Chloé trousers from the Philo era are highly sought after by collectors of "Old Céline" and 2000s luxury fashion.
