Large bangle ring in silver platinum (silver coated with platinum) centered with a beautiful oval opal weighing approximately 2.50 cts. The upper edge of the bangle as well as the underside under the finger are entirely paved with diamonds.
Signed Lorenz Baümer Paris, with master's hallmark.

Silver platinum is a traditional technique combining a silver base with a platinum plating. Lorenz Baümer uses it in a personal and controlled manner, combining technical properties and aesthetic effects: the resistance and cool whiteness of platinum meet the malleability of silver for a luminous and durable result. This treatment preserves the silver from oxidation, maintaining the brilliance of the jewelry over time. The opal exhibits beautiful plays of light in blue and green tones. A discreet crack is noted, very limited and without danger to the stone. The diamonds, well calibrated, are of fine quality and enhance the brilliance and contrast with the grayish hue of the metal.

Le silver platinum est une technique traditionnelle combinant une base d'argent à un placage de platine. Lorenz Baümer en fait un usage personnel et maîtrisé, alliant propriétés techniques et effets esthétiques : la résistance et la blancheur froide du platine rencontrent la malléabilité de l’argent, pour un rendu lumineux et durable. Ce traitement préserve l’argent de l’oxydation, maintenant l’éclat du bijou dans le temps.
L’opale présente de beaux jeux de lumière dans des tons bleus et verts. Une discrète égrisure est à noter, très limitée et sans danger pour la pierre. Les diamants, bien calibrés, sont de belle qualité et renforcent l’éclat et le contraste avec la teinte grisée du métal.
