Dsquared was founded in 1994. Two lovers of fashion, art and music named Dan and Dean Caten decided to create their own brand at the end of the 20th century. Initially, the twin brothers from Canada exclusively targeted men with their designs. Given their meteoric success, they then decided to extend their offering to include womenswear. Their first shop opened in Milan, but other capital cities quickly followed, only serving to increase their popularity. Through their clothing and accessories, the two Canadians found inspiration in their roots, but also in Italian fashion, designing unique luxury pieces with elaborate detailing. They tirelessly blended tradition and modernity to ensure they moved with the times. Their sources of inspiration included both the pop-culture trend and also a provocatively-chic sportswear style.

The brand gives an incredible amount of thought to the colours and textures of the men's and women's clothing and accessories it produces.
