We’re launching our first-ever influencer education programme to address fast fashion overconsumption and transform the industry from the inside out.
Over the past two years, we've committed to fighting fast fashion with a two-step initiative that banned Zara, Shein, H&M, Gap, and more from our platform. But that's just the beginning. With 60M+ views on TikTok for #haul, it's clear that influencers hold immense power in shaping consumer habits. So this year, we're taking our mission to the next level by collaborating with influencers – and their communities – to fight fast fashion.
We've invited influential content creators to join our 6-month education programme, bringing along their millions of followers for the journey. They'll learn about the marketing tricks fast fashion brands use, and how these tactics fuel overconsumption and overproduction.
Our pioneering programme includes a series of interactive discussions, an educational masterclass video, and a field trip to a clothing landfill site. Because how can you be part of the solution if you don't know what the problem is?
"This experience will influence the way I make decisions by encouraging me to shop more consciously, to focus even more on responsible actions, and to inspire me to use my platform to promote sustainability more mindfully. I want to show that fashion can be enjoyed in different ways." - @carefreehamuyela
