Dior, a renowned designer in the world of luxury.
Dior's very first shop opened in 1946 on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. The designer met with success very quickly thanks to his new vision for fashion, which was totally different to the prevailing codes at the time. The House of Dior gave women a silhouette which highlighted their waists and hips and showcased the shape of their bodies: it was the golden age of what became known as the "New Look". The story of Dior ready-to-wear would then be marked by prestigious designers who succeeded one another at the head of creative management. John Galliano, Yves Saint-Laurent and Raf Simons: each one of them brought his own individual identity to the brand.
Collections that left a powerful mark on history.
As seasons, and different creative directors, came and went, ready-to-wear collections by Dior remained as fresh as ever and brought just as much inventiveness to the catwalk. Amongst the categories designed by the House the most in vogue, the tops which come in different shapes and sizes make up a sizeable range. These pieces highlight the delicate forms of the female body. From printed T-shirts adorned with J'adore Dior to understated mono colour shirts and sophisticated retro bustiers, all the pieces are well worthy of a place in a woman's wardrobe.
