Vintage Archive from the Fall 1996 Collection

Camel brown single-breasted coat

Size IT 38 (no label present, estimated)

100% camel hair | Made in Italy

Fully lined in 100% rayon

Luxurious, soft camel hair coat. Minimalist style icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wore this exact Prada coat in a black version on November 4, 1996, at a Whitney Museum Gala. She was also famously photographed in camel hair Prada pieces from the same collection. This is a quintessential CBK minimalist wardrobe staple—neutral color, pure fabric, clean silhouette. Features 5 tortoise-shell buttons and two hand pockets.

MEASUREMENTS (approximate)

Shoulders ~14 inches. Pit to pit ~16.5 inches. Length ~36 inches. Sleeve length ~20.75 inches.

CONDITION

Pristine. There are no spots of shedding in the fabric—a very rare condition for a vintage camel hair garment.
