Vtg ESCADA Margaretha Ley Hot Pink Wool Cashgora Blazer W. Germany 34 US XS

An exceptional archival piece of fashion history: an authentic vintage Escada by Margaretha Ley. Made in West Germany between 1989 and 1992. This jacket stems from the highly collectible "founder era" of the fashion house, engineered before 1992.

The luxury textile blend
Unlike standard vintage wool jackets, this garment is crafted from a highly prized, ultra-premium textile blend that gives it an incredibly soft hand-feel and magnificent structural weight:
- 60% New Wool (Schurwolle / Laine Vierge)
- 20% Angora Rabbit Hair
- 20% Cashgora (A rare, luxury goat fiber combining the resilience of mohair with the softness of cashmere, popularized almost exclusively by elite European fashion houses in the late 1980s).

Design and tailoring:
- Saturated, vibrant hot pink
- Structural, heavily padded shoulders for the ultimate power-suit silhouette
- Sharp, exaggerated peak lapels with an open V-neckline
- Two-button front closure featuring large, contrast black statement buttons
- Double horizontal hip pockets with flaps
- Fully lined in signature tonal pink Escada logo jacquard satin

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. This piece has been meticulously cared for. There are a few hard-to-see-or-photograph light-brown faint marks of age but I have tried to photograph everywhere.
