A trunk maker of many talents.
The path to success for the House of Louis Vuitton began with its lines of travel trunks and continued with its leather goods items. Over the years, the brand gradually extended its collections, but jewels only made an appearance relatively recently. It was by chance, in 2001, that Louis Vuitton made its initial foray into jewellery when Marc Jacobs, who was the brand's creative director at the time, designed a bracelet for a fashion show. In 2009, the market saw the launch of full collections of jewels. A jewellery workshop then came into existence on Place Vendôme. Louis Vuitton's new adventure was underway!
Louis Vuitton jewellery, precious pieces.
Known the world over for its lines of luxury leather goods, Louis Vuitton also takes pride in its role as a designer of high-end jewellery. The jewels take after the label in many ways, especially for innate elegance and distinction. Out of all the different items created, chain necklaces are a perfect embodiment of the luxury associated with the House. The chains pair with pendants in the form of hearts, boats and padlocks. The initials LV worn on a gold chain are also typical of Louis Vuitton.
