The Yeezy X Adidas collaboration unites one of the world's leading sportswear brands, Adidas, and Kanye West, another influential player in the world of modern fashion. The brand Adidas was founded in Germany a century ago under the stewardship of one Adolf Dassler. In his sports equipment workshop, he focused his attention on the performance and durability of his designs. The philosophy of well-made, efficient products would characterise the company from then on forward in the form of designs everyone knows and loves which are recognisable thanks to the triple-stripe logo. As for Yeezy, its story is much more recent. It is inextricably linked, of course, to the rise of Kanye West, who started out in the world of hip hop, and who reinvented himself on the fashion stage as a designer.
